He will then customize an indoor comfort plan designed specifically for you. When you have an expert like Dave helping you make an educated decision, you’re going to feel more comfortable. We will explain the difference between the grades of equipment and help YOU make the decision about comfort in your home.
MAINTENANCE:
Before each cooling and heating season begins, you should have your system checked and serviced by one of our certified technicians.
∙Dirty condenser and evaporator coils make your unit run longer than necessary, lessening the efficiency and shortening the life of the system.
∙Burnt contactors can stick, causing damage to the compressor and other components.
∙Weak run or start capacitors can make the compressor and/or fan run or start at high levels, causing damage and loss of efficiency.
∙Low or overcharged refrigerant (Freon) will make your system run longer than necessary and can damage the compressor.
All of this can lead to increased electrical bills, but can be prevented by scheduling routine maintenance for your heating and air conditioning units. Your furnace is probably one of the least maintained units of the comfort system. However, you need to remember that the furnace has a flame inside of it. If not properly installed and maintained, it could be very dangerous.
∙Undersized duct work can restrict air flow across the heat exchanger causing premature failure.
∙A crack in the heat exchanger allows carbon monoxide into your home.
∙High humidity levels during the summer in the attic cause the heat exchanger to rust and flake off thus making the heat exchanger metal thinner and prone to cracks allowing carbon monoxide into your home.
∙Low or improper set gas pressure can lead to loss heating efficiency and higher gas bills.
